Varicose vein - laser, RFA sclerotherapy
Laser Treatment:
- Laser therapy for varicose veins involves the use of intense bursts of light to heat and destroy the vein.
- This minimally invasive procedure is typically performed on smaller varicose veins and spider veins close to the skin’s surface, with little to no downtime.
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA):
- RFA is a procedure where heat generated by radiofrequency energy is used to heat and seal off problematic varicose veins.
- It’s often recommended for larger varicose veins and involves inserting a catheter into the vein to deliver the radiofrequency energy, leading to the vein’s closure and eventual reabsorption by the body.
Sclerotherapy:
- Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution directly into the varicose vein, causing it to scar and collapse, rerouting blood flow to healthier veins.
- It’s commonly used for smaller to medium-sized varicose veins and spider veins and may require multiple sessions for optimal results.
